"Just as an irrelevant motivation can stand at the beginning of any work of art, here it was salving my bad conscience. A dumb idea becomes something important, something kitschy, certifiably beautiful, something private and public. The work of art thrives on this relationship of tension.
The moment of risk - in which I found myself - is now expanding and building a bridge across time. I am stretching the curving rainbow of art across all historical events.
The whirring loom of time becomes the eye of the typhoon."
-Anselm Kiefer at Gagosian

I am very excited to be participating in this exhibit at The Hudgens Center for the Arts. Sonya Yong James has done a great job curating a great list of artists and I only wish that I could see it in person.
